    Margaux, Sales Assistant, Geneva

Who are you in a few words?

My name is Margaux, I’m 27 years old. I’m curious and ambitious, and I enjoy structuring, optimizing, and creating value in everything I do.

My background in marketing and sales has allowed me to develop both analytical and creative thinking—skills that are essential in my current role as a Sales Assistant at Protectas.

What motivated you to work at Protectas?

What attracted me most was the company’s stimulating and structured environment, as well as the strategic importance of the security sector.

I was also motivated by the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, where precision, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills are key.

Security is a field where organization and attention to detail are crucial—qualities I particularly value in my work.

Can you tell us about your beginnings at Protectas?

From day one, I experienced the high standards and variety of tasks involved. I quickly took charge of managing commercial offers, client follow-up, and coordinating tenders.

Thanks to my adaptability, I found my place quickly and was able to offer practical solutions to the challenges I faced.

What are you responsible for now?

I currently work as a sales and administrative assistant, a key role in managing and tracking business opportunities.

This includes overseeing and coordinating tender documents and submissions, as well as drafting, following up on, and optimizing commercial offers and contracts.

I’m also in charge of acquiring and managing leads across various channels. Part of my job is to work with the marketing team to develop effective sales materials and enhance the presentation of our offers.

Lastly, I optimize internal processes to improve sales efficiency and strengthen our market position.

This versatility allows me to operate across sales, strategy, and marketing, and to actively contribute to the company’s growth and image.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most is the diversity of tasks and the direct impact my work has on the company’s commercial performance.

I particularly appreciate collaborating with different departments—especially marketing—on showcasing our offers and creating impactful sales tools.

Teamwork is another aspect I value, as it keeps me in constant contact with multiple departments to coordinate our actions and align our projects.

I also find great satisfaction in seeing a project through to completion, particularly in managing tenders and securing new clients.

This role puts me at the crossroads of strategy, marketing, and sales, making my work dynamic and stimulating.

What is your biggest challenge, and how do you handle it?

One of the biggest challenges I face is managing tight deadlines and the pressure that comes with tenders.

To handle it, I prioritize my tasks and organize my work methodically. I remain flexible and proactive to anticipate the unexpected while maintaining effective communication with the teams to avoid roadblocks.

For me, the key lies in anticipation and keeping an analytical mindset when facing challenges.

Which company value resonates with you most, and why?

Integrity is very important to me. In such a sensitive field as security, it’s essential to be reliable, meticulous, and transparent.

Integrity also means taking responsibility, honoring commitments, and always striving for excellence.

It’s a value that guides the way I work and motivates me to give my best.

What is it like working as a woman in your field?

The security sector is still predominantly male, but that also presents a great opportunity.

Being a woman in this field means bringing a different perspective, particularly in terms of management, communication, and anticipating needs.

I’ve found that precision, organization, and the ability to manage several projects at once are key skills—and these have nothing to do with gender.

What truly makes the difference is expertise and determination.

What advice would you give to women who want to work in the security sector?

I would encourage them to claim their space and not be afraid to take on responsibilities—because it’s their skills and professionalism that matter, not stereotypes.

It’s also important to build knowledge and a strong network: the more informed you are, the more confident and legitimate you feel.

Being proactive and rigorous is a major asset too, as project management and anticipation are essential in this sector.

Finally, trust your adaptability and strategic thinking.

The security industry needs diverse profiles and fresh perspectives—there’s room for ambitious women with an analytical mindset and strong determination.
