    Teddy Chauville, Security Officer, Geneva

Who are you in a few words?

My name is Teddy Chauville, I’m 32 years old and live in Haute-Savoie. After nine years in the French army as a team leader in a specialized unit, I decided to use my experience in private security. I have been with Protectas for three years in the international organizations sector.

What motivated you to work at Protectas?

I wanted a company sharing my values: discipline, commitment, and service. Protectas stood out for its strong reputation and professionalism, especially in sensitive environments like international organizations.

Can you tell us about your start at Protectas?

I started as an auxiliary for three months, learning all aspects of the job. Then I underwent internal training that opened the door to the international organizations sector, which requires rigor and professionalism.

    What are your current responsibilities?

I handle security patrols, access management, protection of people and property, and enforce security protocols. I also respond to emergencies and provide first aid.

What do you like about your job?

The varied daily challenges and the direct impact of my actions. Every situation is unique, requiring quick thinking and adaptability. Knowing I contribute to otherssafety is a constant motivation.

What has been your biggest challenge and how do you handle it?

The intense work rhythm can cause fatigue and affect vigilance. To cope, I maintain a healthy lifestyle and practice sports regularly to stay focused and energized.

Which value resonates most with you and why? (Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness)

Vigilance: the ability to spot warning signs and prevent problems. A recent intervention avoided risks thanks to our alertness. Being vigilant makes all the difference.

What advice would you give to women who want to work in security?

Believe in yourself and don’t be intimidated. Determination, commitment, and professionalism matter most. It’s a demanding job, but with confidence and willpower, you can thrive.
