Mission Protectas: Carolina Lapartosa

Who are you in a few words? 

My name is Carol Laportosa, and I’m a proud mother of a 17-year-old teenager 😊 

I’m curious and open, enjoy learning, and take an interest in many topics. It’s important to me to remain authentic and treat people with respect and honesty. 

What motivated you to join Protectas? 

The job description immediately attracted me. The tasks seemed very varied and engaging, which is important to me. I was also drawn to the language requirements, as I enjoy working in a multilingual environment. 

Can you tell us about your beginnings at Protectas? 

At first, everything was new but very exciting. I received good onboarding and quickly realized how diverse the tasks are. I liked being able to contribute actively from the start, share my ideas, and receive strong support from the team. 

What are your responsibilities today? 

I am mainly responsible for general administration, HR tasks, sales support, and accounting at the Zurich Airport site. 

I also support planning and coordinate internal and external communication, events, and social media activities. 

What do you enjoy about your job? 

I enjoy the variety and diversity of daily tasks. 

What is your biggest challenge and how do you handle it? 

My biggest challenge is sometimes wanting to take on too many tasks at once. I manage this by setting priorities, structuring my work, and regularly checking what I should focus on first. This allows me to work efficiently without compromising the quality of my work. 

Which value speaks to you the most and why? 

Integrity speaks to me the most, because honesty and reliability are essential – both in dealings with colleagues and clients. 

How do you perceive working as a woman in your job? 

I find it completely natural to work in this job as a woman. What matters are competence, engagement, and teamwork – and that works very well. 

What advice would you give to women who want to work in the security sector? 

Be confident, well-prepared, and set clear boundaries. Competence speaks for itself – those who work with commitment earn respect quickly.
