Mission Protectas: Hanane Jabrane

Who are you in a few words? 

I am a Duty Officer in airport security, passionate about field operations, training, and teamwork. 

I work in a dynamic environment where rigor, people, and a strong sense of service are essential. Positive and committed, I enjoy supporting teams and helping to create an atmosphere of trust and professionalism.

What motivated you to work at Protectas? 

The airport environment has always fascinated me, and Protectas represented an opportunity to grow within a demanding and stimulating professional setting. 

I found strong values and genuine career development opportunities here. Contributing to security while remaining close to the teams gives real meaning to my work.

Can you tell us about your beginnings at Protectas? 

I started in the field, at the heart of operations, which allowed me to gain solid practical experience. 

Those early years taught me the importance of rigor, adaptability, and teamwork. They naturally led me to evolve into the role of Duty Officer, with responsibilities related to coordination, operational support, and training.

What are you responsible for today? 

Today, I work as a Duty Officer in airport security. 

I coordinate operations, support teams on a daily basis, and ensure compliance with security and quality standards. I also have a training role, allowing me to act as a training reference and support security officers in their professional development.

What do you enjoy about your job? 

What I enjoy most is the human aspect of the job and the team dynamic. 

I like supporting colleagues, sharing my experience, and contributing to a calm and efficient working environment. In this profession, a strong sense of service, active listening, and kindness are essential.

What is your biggest challenge and how do you manage it? 

My main challenge is balancing operational intensity with the human support of teams. 

I manage this through strong organization, clear communication, and active listening. Maintaining perspective and staying solution-oriented allows me to move forward effectively, even in demanding situations.

Which value resonates with you the most and why? (Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness) 

All three values are essential in my profession, but I place particular importance on integrity and helpfulness. 

Integrity ensures a fair, ethical, and respectful attitude toward all passengers, regardless of their background, while also fostering mutual respect within the teams. 

Helpfulness complements this approach, as service orientation, listening, and kindness remain at the heart of our daily mission.

How do you feel about working as a woman in your profession? 

I see it as a strength and an asset for the teams. 

Women often bring a complementary approach, particularly in communication and the human management of situations. Today, it is above all competence and professionalism that make the difference. 

What advice would you give to women who would like to work in the security sector? 

I would encourage them to take the leap and believe in their abilities. 

Security is a demanding but highly rewarding field, where it is possible to grow through motivation, professionalism, and teamwork. A strong sense of service and self-confidence are valuable assets for succeeding and thriving in this profession.
