The milestones that shaped our identity
50 years of history means people, innovation, strategic evolution and decisive choices. From a local company founded in 1976 to the integrated organisation we are today, our development has always been driven by one ambition: strengthening security in Switzerland and supporting our clients in an ever-changing environment.

1976: Protectas Founded
Protectas was established in Lausanne by Pierre Rochat with the mission to protect people, property, and operations.

1990: First Training School
Protectas founded the first European-recognized school for the training of security and surveillance personnel. At that time, 3,500 employees were already trained in Switzerland and France.

1992: Integration into Securitas AB Group
Protectas joined the Swedish Securitas AB Group, headquartered in Stockholm, gaining access to global expertise while remaining firmly rooted in Switzerland.

2022: Technological Transformation
The acquisition of STANLEY Security and Healthcare marked the beginning of a shift toward security solutions combining technology with human presence.

2023: Creation of Protectas Technology
In Switzerland, the merger of SafeHome and Protectas Electronic Security (formerly Stanley) created Protectas Technology, strengthening our range of electronic and technological security solutions.

Our Story
Five Decades of Expertise and Trust
Protectas was founded in Lausanne by Pierre Rochat in 1976. From the very beginning, our ambition was clear: to protect people, property, and operations.
In 1990, we established the first European-recognized school for security personnel training, already educating 3,500 employees in Switzerland and France, a pioneering step in professionalizing the sector.
Globally Recognized Expertise
Since 1992, Protectas has been part of the Swedish Securitas AB Group, headquartered in Stockholm. This allows us to combine global expertise with a strong local presence in Switzerland.
